“How to shave without irritation?

Did you know? It’s best to shave after a shower, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach, as chewing causes blood to flow to the cheeks and can create “blood spots”.

• Step 1: Thoroughly moisten your face with warm water.
• Step 2: Take care of your shaving brush.
  Moisten your shaving brush with lukewarm water (not hot, as this alters the natural hair), taking care to remove any excess water (drain it). Now load your shaving brush with shaving soap. Repeat the operation until a light lather appears on your shaving brush.
• Step 3: Proper skin preparation = 70% of the importance of shaving.
  Apply your mousse directly to the face, using intense circular movements. This softens the epidermis, opens the pores and prepares the hair for the blade. Your face should be covered with a thick, creamy white foam. Leave your skin to rest for 1 to 2 minutes to allow the action of the natural soap to take effect.
• Step 4: Different shavers have different angles.
  For safety razors and Shavettes, you need to find the right angle (which happens quickly after the first few shaves), at around 30 degrees.
• Step 5: One pass is not enough.
  Move the razor in the opposite direction to the hair, i.e. from bottom to top. This allows the razor to go deeper into the hair, for even softer skin.
• Step 6: Look after your skin after shaving.
  After shaving, the skin needs to be nourished and moisturized, either with a good moisturizing cream or an aftershave balm.
• Step 7: Care for your equipment.
  After use, present your shaving brush upside down on your servant to facilitate the flow of water into the hair and guarantee the drying of your shaving brush!”
