Vegetable oils

Temps de lecture : 2 minutes

If you’ve ever wondered how to rid your bathroom of those 25 jars & bottles piling up…

Or how to simplify your daily skincare routine

And if you’re looking for alternatives to night creams, day creams, serums, eye contours, all those cosmetics sold at a premium price, packed with more or less dubious chemical substances…

At Paillettes Vertes, we have just one piece of advice: turn to vegetable oils!

Vegetable oil is a little miracle for the skin! Choose pure, organic, cold-pressed oils. Oils are rich in essential nutrients and vitamins, and each has nourishing, regenerating, healing, regulating or revitalizing properties.

To help you identify yours, we suggest you take a look at these oils, which correspond to different skin types:

  • Sensitive, dry skin: apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil, argan oil
  • Dry, mature skin: apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil, olive oil, argan oil, grapeseed oil, evening primrose oil
  • Normal or combination skin: jojoba, olive, macadamia, apricot kernel, grape seed
  • Oily skin: jojoba, hazelnut, black cumin

An oil can be used alone or in combination, as a face and body care product, but also as a make-up remover (for the eyes too, using a pretty little washable cotton pad!) or to nourish the ends of your hair

Here’s a useful clarification: even though it’s oil, it doesn’t leave your skin greasy and shiny! If you choose the right oil for your skin type, it even penetrates the epidermis quickly.

To help it absorb into the skin, we chose to combine it with a little aloe vera gel, just mixed in the palm of your hand with a few drops of your oil, which will complete your skincare routine with a moisturizing and soothing action… aloe vera is incredible too, but that’s another story! More on that soon…

As you can see, 1 oil = 1000 virtues and dozens of uses!

In addition to being very economical (no marketing hype for your pure oil which contains… only one substance!!), you can fill your bottles with the most common oils in most bulk stores. No unnecessary packaging!

The advantage is that you can test with just a small quantity, just to be sure of your choice.

And so, your favorite vegetable oil will be useful for many things! You’ll have just one bottle on your bathroom shelf (go on, maximum 2 with aloe vera!), next to your washable make-up remover discs, your homemade deo and your wooden toothbrush 🙂 Ahah, long live zero-waste minimalism!

So what about you? Are you a fan of vegetable oils? We look forward to hearing more about your choice!
