My Sweet Home-Made Granola

Temps de lecture : 2 minutes

A little recipe for those who have an Easter brunch to organize this weekend 😊 But also for others and to repeat all year because it’s so good!!!

Crunchy and just the right amount of caramel, granola offers a healthy, local alternative to store-bought cereals.

Add a good organic oil and a sweetener to suit your taste, and you’ve got a tailor-made breakfast cereal that’s free of additives and undesirable fats (no, I’m not thinking of palm oil 😝).

For a zero-waste variation, you can easily find all these ingredients in bulk grocery stores, and this recipe can be adapted according to what you have in your cupboards at the time, to vary the pleasures…

You will need :

  • 250g rolled oats
  • 80g mixed seeds (flax, sunflower, pumpkin, whatever you like!)
  • 80g almonds, coarsely chopped (or hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews…)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 0.5dl sunflower oil (or linseed oil, or rapeseed oil, whatever you have!)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (or any other sweetener: agave syrup or maple syrup, for example)🍯
  • 50 dried fruit (apricots, cranberries, raisins, etc.)
  • And for those with a sweet tooth, a small handful of crushed dark chocolate đŸ«

In a bowl, mix the rolled oats with the seeds, walnuts, vanilla and salt. Add oil and honey, mix well and spread out on a large baking sheet lined with baking parchment. Bake for approx. 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 140°C, turning occasionally to allow the granula to caramelize evenly.

Remove the granola from the oven, leave to cool and mix with the dried fruit and chocolate chips.

Mix with milk, yoghurt or plant milk of your choice. 😋

Enjoy!
