A few <strong>vegetables<\/strong>, <strong>spices<\/strong>, water, vinegar and a little patience. <\/p><blockquote><h3>In fact, without realizing it, our kitchens are full of natural dyes&#8230;<\/h3><\/blockquote><p>Turmeric for the <strong>yellow<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p><p>Purple <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lespaillettesvertes.ch\/craquez-pour-le-chou-kale-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kale<\/a> for <strong>light blue<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p><p>A beautiful red cabbage for <strong>dark blue<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p><p>Beet for <strong>pink<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p><p>And vinegar to fix it.<\/p><p>Well, the pink was the least satisfactory shade in the test; it was a rather bland beige that came out&#8230; On the other hand, the yellows are luminous and the blues deep or gradient, depending on the results. <\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>So, shall we go for it?<\/b><\/h3><h3>Implementation :  <\/h3><p>For all recipes, it&#8217;s best to<strong>start by cooking your hard-boiled eggs for 10-12 minutes<\/strong>, except for the yolk, which can be cooked directly in the turmeric.<\/p><p>That&#8217;s all there is to it!<\/p><ul><li><b><em>For yellow<\/em><\/b><\/li><\/ul><p>Boil 500ml water with 3 tbsp turmeric. Dip in egg and cook for 10-12min with 1tsp white vinegar. <\/p><ul><li><b><em>For reddish-brown  <\/em><\/b><\/li><\/ul><p>Use your red and\/or yellow onion skins, about 2 large handfuls.<\/p><p>Boil in 500ml of water with 1 centilitre of white vinegar. Remove from heat and leave for 30 min. <\/p><p>Then dip the eggs in the liquid and leave to stand for 6 hours.<\/p><ul><li><b><em>For blue<\/em><\/b><\/li><\/ul><p id=\"ozpox1315\" class=\"MEMRH y1VL3\" dir=\"auto\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">You have 2 options: <strong>cabbage or hibiscus.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>With cabbage:<\/strong> We used purple kale and red cabbage juice. The <b>kale<\/b> gave a <b>pastel<\/b>, slightly turquoise <b>blue<\/b>, and<b> the red cabbage <\/b>a<b> beautiful duck blue<\/b>. <\/p><ol><li>Start by chopping the vegetables and cooking them in a pan of water for 20 minutes.<\/li><li>Once cooked, strain the juice &#8211; and eat your vegetables, so there&#8217;s no waste \ud83d\ude42<\/li><li>Bring the juice to the boil, adding 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Remove from heat and dip in eggs. <\/li><li>Leave to stand for 30 min to several hours, checking regularly. The longer the cooking time, the darker the blue. <\/li><\/ol><div data-pm-slice=\"3 3 []\"> <\/div><p><strong>With hibiscus:  <\/strong><\/p><p>For raw eggs:  <\/p><div data-pm-slice=\"3 3 []\"><div><ul><li id=\"haiwz24974\" class=\"MEMRH y1VL3\" dir=\"auto\">pour a cup of dried herbs or two sachets of hibiscus tea directly into a pan of cold water with your eggs.<\/li><li class=\"MEMRH y1VL3\" dir=\"auto\">Bring to the boil for at least 15 minutes.<\/li><li class=\"MEMRH y1VL3\" dir=\"auto\">Leave to cool. Cover and refrigerate for several hours. <\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p id=\"8eioc25683\" class=\"MEMRH y1VL3\" dir=\"auto\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">For eggs that are already hard-boiled:  <\/p><div data-pm-slice=\"3 3 []\"><ul id=\"7qyh88o2ql3s1s415\" class=\"hMLuI\"><li id=\"al5s08o2ql3s1s411\" class=\"_7xK9h\" dir=\"ltr\"><div><p id=\"1o3qv24989\" class=\"MEMRH y1VL3\" dir=\"auto\">Pour your hibiscus decoction over the hard-boiled eggs in a container (they should be completely submerged).<\/p><\/div><\/li><li id=\"tok738o2ql3s1s413\" class=\"_7xK9h\" dir=\"ltr\"><div><p id=\"r1fr324992\" class=\"MEMRH y1VL3\" dir=\"auto\">Cover and refrigerate for several hours.<\/p><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><div> <\/div><\/div><ul><li><b><em>And the pink&#8230;<\/em><\/b><\/li><\/ul><p>Blend a large beet, still raw, in a blender with 2dl cold water.<\/p><p>Transfer to a large bowl or saucepan, add 1 tbsp white vinegar and immerse the previously cooked eggs for 2 hours.<\/p><p>And that&#8217;s all there is to making beautiful natural dyes for your Easter eggs.<\/p><h3>Happy Easter!<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Temps de lecture\u00a0: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span>Easter&#8217;s just around the corner, and for a change from the marbled eggs you find on supermarket shelves, neatly wrapped in their hard plastic shells, like every year we&#8217;re racking our brains to find a nice, natural alternative that&#8217;s easy on the eyes!
